Ramsey to Arsenal
Just a short one today. The Mirror, Sky Sports and most importantly Cardiff City's official website have all stated that Wonderkid Aaron Ramsey wants to join Arsenal this summer. I think this is great news and i'm trying to not get to carried away with it until hes stood next to Arsene holding an Arsenal shirt. Check out Cardiff's website http://www.cardiffcityfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10335~1325841,00.html and let us know what you think of the lad.

Isnt it crazy that we missed out on the title by 2-3 players and our course of action is to sign a completely unproven 17 yr old for 5 million? Plus the other player we've "signed" is an inexperienced 19yr mexican. The only other deal that has a likelihood of happening is nasri from marseille who isnt exactly a proven matchwinner. And this at a club where we supposedly have the best youngsters already. I dont understand why wenger cant get a couple of proven players for the here and now. Just two. something tells me he thinks rosicky and van persie are gonna be miraculously fit for the major part of next season. My initial optimism when i read the article about new signings within 2-3 weeks to allay our fears is fading away.
It would be strange now if Ramsey did not come to Arsenal. OK he's seventeen, and maybe one for the future. But Cesc was only 17 when he broke into the first team - and as people who've seen him play rate Ramsey as world class, we might not have to wait that long. Vela is perhaps more experienced than you realise after two season of first team football in Spain. We've got to take the Ramsey signing as a positive - there will be more players coming in after the Euros as well. There's no doubt Wenger has been patiently teeing things up over the last couple of years - now he's ready to go for it. I guarantee we'll have the players that'll make all of us happy before next season. I am an optimist!
